Krupp Farm has been growing strawberries since 1916 in Kent County, Michigan. Our farm also grows asparagus; corn, hay, wheat and we raise sallow deer. We sell our strawberries that are fresh picked by our workers and we have a U pick operation.

We normally hire about 25 workers to harvest our strawberries and our season usually runs from June 10th through July 5th. In addition to our 25 pickers, we usually hire 2 packers. Some of our workers duties, throughout the year, include picking strawberry blossoms, weeding, and picking stones in our fields.

Our wage rates for strawberry harvest are from $2.50 - $3.00 per 8 quarts of strawberries picked. Other duties that include hand labor, are weeding and hoeing, these activities are usually paid at minimum wage per hour or higher. Our farm has no housing available to workers.
