Randy and Carol Bowerman started Bowerman's LTD in 1982. The 90 - acre farm consists of mostly blueberries, with a small amount of raspberries. We grow, pack, and ship the fruit directly from our farm. For each harvest we hire approximately 40 - 50 workers. Employees pick, grade and pack the blueberries. The picking is done by hand and with a harvester. Our harvest begins around the second week of July and goes through September. Occasionally we will have a late season that goes into October. Our workers are paid by piece rate in the field and an hourly rate when working on the harvester or packing the fruit. We have approved housing directly on the farm.

The housing consists of mobile homes and one cabin. The housing is made available for our out-of-state workers, rent-free. We pay into unemployment compensation. There is a daycare available for children 6 and under. There is also a school program for children up to 12. Located 2 1/2 miles down the road from our farm is migrant health services for your health needs.
