Gavins Orchard is located just east of Coopersville, Michigan. It is half way between Grand Rapids and Muskegon, Michigan. The farm has been in business since 1975. We presently grow 80+/-acres of apples and 60+ acres of cucumbers that are all hand harvested.

We employ 50 seasonal workers for cucumbers starting around the first week of June until the middle of September. Apple harvest starts as the cucumbers are coming to the end of production. We use around 20 people for the harvest of apples and try to be done with harvest around the last week of October.

The farm is located just 3 miles from the city of Coopersville, which has a grocery store, laundry facilities, auto repair parts and dealers plus many other vendors. Telamon provides daycare for children 5 and under and busing is provided. Coopersville has an excellent school system for school age children and also provides buses for transportation. There is a migrant health clinic located in Sparta approximately12 miles from the farm.

Grand Rapids is 20 minutes from the farm and has four large hospitals for emergencies.

Our housing consists of mobile homes licensed by the State of Michigan. We attempt to keep our camp clean and safe for your benefit.

All employees are covered under workers' compensation and unemployment insurance.

We guarantee the state minimum wage.
